I just got home from the annual Miata Day show on the lawn, which I’ll be posting up on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Inside the museum itself, they had not cars this time, but bikes. Lots of bikes. The !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! exhibit will be on display at the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in Brookline, MA through May 2016.
Wankel FTW!

I go to school in Boston and I’ve been itching to go to lard Anderson during my weekends. I’ve also been dying to go to their Cars & Coffee too.

It’s a bit of a hike for me from the land of “Here There Be Dragons,” a.k.a. I-495. But it’s definitely worth the trip from time to time, especially for shows or C&C. My spectator fee at Miata Day also got me into the museum, so it’s a good deal.

Oh yeah it’s definitely a hike for me too, which is the reason I haven’t been yet. The T doesn’t really take you from Cambridge to the museum in any direct or convenient fashion, and as a student, I do not have personal transportation lol.

Rent one of the bikes from the Hubway in JP! It’s just a short ride to Larz Anderson from there!

Back in the 90’s I volunteered there at a couple of charity auctions. Part of the appeal of volunteering was free access to off limits areas of the museum. The really neat stuff was hidden up in the attic...there were rows of old bicycles and motorcycles that looked like they hadn’t moved in a hundred years...literally. I heard they cleaned it all out a while ago. I wonder where all those old gems ended up.
